The National Do Not Call Registry restricts telemarketer calls.

The Do-Not-Call Improvement Act of 2007 established the Telemarketing Sales Rule (TSR) and the National Do Not Call Registry. Administered by the Federal Trade Commission, the National Do Not Call Registry is a database in which consumers can voluntarily register both land-line and cellular phone numbers to prevent certain types of telemarketers from contacting them using the registered phone number. Once a number is registered, it will remain in the registry indefinitely and does not require re-registration.

Instructions

    • 1

Visit the National Do Not Call Registry website using the link in Resources. Choose "Register a Phone Number" from the left-hand navigation bar. You can register up to three phone numbers at a time.
