How to Remove the History off of Google Search

If you've got a Google user account, the company automatically stores the keywords and terms that you search for in a record stored within your account information. This history will build up and be stored forever--unless you turn it off yourself. If this Google search history poses a potential privacy concern, you can simply enter your Google account's "Settings" page and tell the website to stop keeping track of this history.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to Google's main website and click "Sign In" to log into your Google account (if you are not already logged in).

    • 2

Click "Settings", and then "Google Account Settings".

    • 3

Select "View data stored with this account", and then type your password in the box to confirm that you'd like to view this information.

    • 4

Scroll down to the "Web History" portion of the screen and click "Remove Items or Clear Web History".

    • 5

Click "All", and then "Remove" to completely remove the history that is stored with your Google account.
