Instructions

  1. Favor Tags

    • 1

Choose the cardstock you'll use for the base of your tag. Use a ruler to mark off the exact dimensions for the size tag you desire, then cut out using scissors or a paper cutter.

    • 2

Decorate one side of the tag. You might create a rhinestone border around the edge of the tag, accent a marker or colored pencil drawing with glitter, or use scraps of paper to create a mosaic. Use plenty of glue to make sure that delicate items like glitter or rhinestones are secured. Allow the tag to dry.

    • 3

With scissors or a paper punch, cut off the corners of the tag to give it a more polished look. Try a rounded corner punch for a classic look, or a floral punch for something more dramatic. Use the round hole punch to make a single hole in the top of the tag.

    • 4

Cut the ribbon to the desired length. Thread it through the round hole and tie in a knot or a bow.

    • 5

Add a personalized message on the back of the favor tag or attach it to a gift.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you need many identical favor tags for a wedding or large party, embellish your cardstock tags with decorative paper punches, which is easy to do in large quantities.

  • If you use favor tags as gift labels, have a supply of blank ones on hand, ready to decorate as needed.

  • Delicate tags can be covered with adhesive laminate paper to protect them if desired.
