How to Delete Yahoo Accounts

Yahoo! is a website with many services, including Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo! Groups and My Yahoo!. These services are personalized with a Yahoo! account, which provides a single sign-in process to access many different services. Remove your personal data from Yahoo! services by deleting your Yahoo! account on the account Termination page.

Instructions

1. Open the Yahoo! Account Termination page.

2. Sign in to your Yahoo! account by typing your Yahoo! user name into the "Yahoo! ID" box, hitting "Tab," typing your Yahoo! password into the "Password" box, then clicking "Sign In."

3. Read the important information about your account on the "Terminating your Yahoo! account" page, then confirm the account deletion by typing your password into the box under "Please Confirm Your Identity with Your Password."

4. Confirm you are a human and not a software program by typing the code shown on the page into the "Enter the Code as it is Shown in the Box Below" box.

5. Delete the Yahoo! account by clicking "Terminate the Account" under "YES."

Tips & Warnings

• Deleting a Yahoo! account deletes all personal information associated with the Yahoo! account with all Yahoo! services, including Yahoo! Mail and Yahoo! Groups. Recovering a deleted Yahoo! account is not possible.
