How to Build Cabinet Drawer Fronts

Cabinet drawer fronts are the part of the cabinet that attaches to the drawer box. This is usually made from solid wood finished to match the rest of the cabinet. The drawer front allows for the drawer to be opened and hides the front of the drawer box.

Things You'll Need

• Table saw
• Chop saw
• Orbital sander
• Router
• Router bit

Instructions

1. Measure the size of the drawer front. Cut each piece of wood to length using a chop saw or radial arm saw. Cut each piece to width using a table saw.

2. Route each edge with a detailed router bit using a router. There are several different profiles to choose from, pick one that you like.

3. Sand all imperfections out using an orbital sander with 180 grit sandpaper.

4. Finish the drawer front with a varnish of your liking.
