Glue the boards to the bottom of the frame, flush with the 16-inch sides. Let the glue dry. Screw one couch leg into each corner of the tray, centering one at each end of a 2 by 2 board.

Stand the bed tray on its feet and measure 8 inches down each 16-inch side of the frame. Measure again to find the center of the width of each side piece and make a light pencil mark where these measurements meet. Center the handles over these marks and screw them to the wood.

Tips & Warnings
A floating picture frame is one where the photo or other object is sandwiched between two sheets of glass or Plexiglas and appears to "float" in the frame.
You can sandwich anything between the glass sheets as long as it's fairly thin. Try a print of your favorite painting, a travel poster, a collage of favorite photographs or a vintage tea towel.
To further personalize your project, remove the glass and paint the bed tray to match your decor before adding the handles.
Be careful when carrying hot liquids on a bed tray.
