How to Set Up a Box for Tuning an Antenna TV to Record DVD
A digital converter box connects with a coaxial cable to an antenna for pulling in and transforming TV signals that can be viewed on older television sets. The box can also be connected to a DVD recorder, which is then hooked up to a TV. With this setup, the box tunes the channels available from the antenna and processes the signal so it can be recorded to a DVD. If the goal is merely to watch TV, the DVD recorder can be turned on and used as a pass-through component for viewing shows from the converter and antenna.
