Choose which UTI fund you want to purchase. The fund has nearly 50 funds in differing risk categories to choose from including banking sectors, energy sectors or balanced portfolios.

Place the buy order for the fund. If you have a broker, this can be done over the phone and you will be given a confirmation number for the transaction. If you are using an online brokerage firm, you will follow the on-screen prompts to purchase the fund. Contact customer support if you have any difficulties.

Review the confirmation information mailed to you once the transaction is complete to make sure the correct amount was purchased in the correct fund.
