Get the latest trade news in a trade magazine.

Trade magazines, like periodicals and trade journals, are handy reference materials to keep on occupational subjects. Printed monthly or quarterly, trade magazines provide facts, figures and information about a particular industry. Whether your collection is a small one stored on a desk or a more comprehensive collection kept in your library, maintaining the magazines is important. Clean the covers and pages to ensure the value of your magazines, and they will provide you with good information for years to come.

Instructions

    • 1

Sort through your trade magazine collection, keeping the ones you want to store. Toss away periodicals that you no longer need.

    • 2

Lay a cheesecloth on the table in front of you. Place the magazine on the cloth. Wipe the surface with another clean, dry cheesecloth.

    • 3

Open the pages of the book looking for dust or debris. Wipe it away with your cloth. Remove any sales postcards that are inside your trade magazine.

    • 4

Slide the magazine into a magazine holder. Place the clear cover in the front and the solid cover in the back. Close the magazine cover, gently squeezing the paper book in the clamp.

    • 5

Store the trade materials in a magazine rack or on a library shelf.
