Cookie Mold Instructions
Cookie molds are often made from ceramic and are used to create cookies with intricate details. These molds are meant to press designs into the cookie dough prior to baking. Using molds during cookie baking is a fairly simple process, but it can be difficult to transfer cookies from the mold to the baking sheet perfectly the first time. Practice a few times in order to become more comfortable with using a mold. Cookie molds work best with plain dough that does not include chips, fruit pieces or other chunky items. Tips & Warnings
Chilling the dough makes it easier to work with and less likely to stick to the cookie mold. Should dough stick, clean it with a pastry or paint brush. Clean used molds with a vegetable brush in hot, soapy water.
Double-thick cookie sheets can cause cookies to become too cake-like, and they may lack detail.
