How to Wash Sheets & Comforters
Laundering your sheets and comforters at home can save a lot of money. Not all bedding, however, can be laundered at home. Some comforters must be dry cleaned. Read the care instruction label. In addition, washable comforters are often too large for a standard-sized washing machine and must be taken to a laundromat. Routine laundering of sheets and comforters reduces allergens. Proper laundering minimizes wear and fading, helping your bedding to look its best. Does this Spark an idea?

Take large comforters to a laundromat. Establish whether you can wash your comforter in a washing machine. If the comforter is washable, place it in your washing machine with no water. There should be plenty of room for movement. Follow water temperature instructions on the comforter's label. Set the machine to the largest load cycle. If the comforter does not fit, take it to a laundromat and use a large, front-loading machine. Due to the size of the commercial washer, consider washing the sheets with the comforter. Follow the care instruction label's guidelines concerning the water temperature. Whether at home or at a laundromat, use the amount of laundry detergent recommended for a large load.
