How to Make a Telephone Stun Gun
Some people want to protect their homes from intruders without having to use a handgun. You can make a stun gun disguised as the handset of an ordinary telephone using a few hardware parts and a disposable film camera. - Newspaper
- Disposable film camera
- Flat-edged screwdriver
- Phillips head jeweler's screwdriver
- Ruler
- Electric wire
- Wire cutters
- Wire strippers
- Portable drill
- Soldering iron

- Black telephone handset
- Bonding glue
- 2 metal screws

Put a sheet of newspaper on a table. Put the disposable camera on the newspaper with the lens facing up.

Release the tabs that hold the front case of the disposable camera to its back case with a flat-edged screwdriver. Remove the front case from of the disposable camera.

Remove the film cartridge from inside of the back case. Dispose of the film cartridge.

Remove the screws that hold the circuit board to the back case with a Phillips head jeweler's screwdriver.

Remove the circuit board from inside of the back case. Put the circuit board on the newspaper with the lens assembly facing up. Remove the battery from the circuit board, and set it on the newspaper.

Drill a hole in the side of the circuit board with a portable drill. Cut two four-inch long strips of wire using wire cutters. Strip a half inch of insulation off of both ends of each wire with the wire strippers.

Heat the soldering iron for 10 minutes. Solder one end of one wire to the positive contact of the capacitor, which is the only cylindrical object on the circuit board. Let the solder cool for a minute.

Solder one end of the other wire to the negative contact of the capacitor on the circuit board. Let the solder cool for a minute.

Place the black telephone handset on the newspaper with the hearing and speaking cups facing down.

Drill two holes in the top edge of the hearing cup on the black telephone handset with the portable drill.

Apply bonding glue to the holes. Insert a metal screw in each hole. Let the bonding glue dry for three hours.

Wrap the exposed end of one wire around one of the screws. Wrap the exposed end of the other wire around the other screw. Put a piece of electrical tape around each of the screws.

Turn the black telephone handset over. Apply bonding glue to the inside of the handle. Place the circuit board against the bonding glue with the lens assembly facing out. Let the bonding glue dry for three hours.

Tape the electric wires to the side of the black telephone handset with electrical tape.

Put the battery back into its position on the circuit board. Turn the black telephone handset over. Place the black telephone handset back on the telephone base.

Hold the top of the black telephone handset against an intruder, and press the shutter button on the circuit board to activate your telephone stun gun.
