How to Adjust the Temperature on a Whirlpool Electric Oven

Whirlpool produces many different styles of electric ovens to meet consumers' need. The control system on many of the ovens is similar. Users can set the oven to temperatures from 170 degrees to 550 degrees on most Whirlpool ovens. By learning the proper procedure for adjusting the temperature on Whirlpool electric ovens, users can ensure their food is cooked according to recipe.

Instructions

1. Press the "Bake," "Convect" or "Control Bake" button on the oven control panel. The current oven temperature will display on the LCD screen. Some models do not have the full range of baking options.

2. Increase or decrease the oven temperature by pressing the "+" or "-" buttons under the "Set Temp/Time" label or by entering the desired temperature on the keypad. Some models do not have the "Set Temp/Time" label. The oven temperature changes in five degree increments on models that use the "+" and "-" buttons.

3. Press the "+" or "-" buttons at any time while the oven is on to adjust the temperature, or enter the new temperature with the keypad.
