- Sender's name, address and phone number
- Sender's internal reference information (optional)

Instructions
-
-
1
Visit a FedEx location to obtain an airbill or get one from your place of business.
-
2
Fill out Section 1 of the FedEx Airbill (print or type): Date of shipment, Sender's FedEx account number (if available), and Sender's name, address and phone number. If you don't have a FedEx account number, you will provide other billing information in a later section.
-
-
3
Fill out Section 2 of the FedEx Airbill (print or type): Your internal reference information (if applicable). If you are sending from a business to a client, you might have a client number you want to record for your own billing reasons. This section will not be used by FedEx and is OK to leave blank if you don't have internal reference information.
-
4
Fill out Section 3 of the FedEx Airbill (print or type): Recipient's name, address, phone number, and special instructions (if applicable). You will choose delivery in a different section, but if you want FedEx to "Hold" shipment at a FedEx location in the same city as the Recipient's address and/or hold it at FedEx on a Saturday, check the appropriate box in Section 3. The Recipient will still need to show his I.D. at the FedEx location matching the Recipient address you list in this section.
-
5
Fill out Section 4 of the FedEx Airbill (print or type): Check the box (4a for under 150 lbs. or 4b for over 150 lbs.) of the delivery speed you want FedEx to use--First Overnight for "earliest business delivery" for your location, Priority Overnight for next business morning, Standard Overnight for next business afternoon, or 2Day for second business day. These times apply to residential deliveries also.
-
6
Fill out Section 5 of the FedEx Airbill (print or type): Select the packaging type of your shipment: Letter, Pak, Box, Tube, or Other.
-
7
Fill out Section 6 of the FedEx Airbill (print or type): Select "Special Handling" if appropriate; if not, it is OK to leave Section 6 blank. If you are unsure, contact FedEx. Also, check "Saturday Delivery" if you want your shipment delivered on a Saturday (special FedEx hours and extra charges apply).
-
8
Fill out Section 7 of the FedEx Airbill (print or type): Check the box "Sender" if you provided a FedEx account number in Section 1. Otherwise, check the box next to Recipient, Third Party, Credit Card, and print or type the FedEx account number or credit card number. You can also check the box "Cash/Check" and the FedEx representative will collect it at time of pickup.
Enter the total number of packages, total weight, and total declared value of the shipment. FedEx insures up to $100; if your shipment is worth more than $100, you can purchase additional insurance (see Resources).
-
9
Sign Section 8 only if you waive the recipient's signature at delivery which means your FedEx shipment can be left without someone signing for it. Otherwise, leave Section 8 blank.
