How to Convert USB 2.0 to Firewire 400

Save

USB 2.0 is a data port connection that provides faster file transfers than the older USB 1.1. However, at times some electronic devices (such as video cameras) require a firewire 400 connection. This port looks similar to a USB port, except it has a curved side and a trident icon printed next to it. If your computer does not currently have a firewire 400 connection port you may convert one of the current USB 2.0 devices to the firewire connection.
