DIY Reglazing a Bath
Reglazing a bath is a good way to give an outdated tub a face-lift. Things You'll Need
- Safety mask
- Gloves
- Cleaning solution
- Sponge
- Primer
- Sand paper
- Masking tape
- Newspaper
- Glaze

Thoroughly clean the tub with cleansers and a sponge. Let it dry completely.

Cover faucets and tile around the tub with masking tape and masking paper.

Apply a special tub primer to the entire bathtub. Use broad strokes with the primer spray cans, making sure there is an even coat on the tub. Let dry.

Sand the entire tub with sandpaper, removing any debris from the primer. Make sure the whole surface is smooth and clean.

Tape newspaper to the shower walls and any areas outside the tub that may be exposed to the glaze.

Put on a safety mask and gloves. Apply the glaze to the tub, using long, even strokes. Make sure there is an even coat on the whole tub. Let dry. If any primer shows through the glaze after it dries, apply a second coat.
