How to Make a Fast Co2 Emission Car Out of a Block of Wood

A C02 emission car, or simply C02 dragster, is a toy car made from a block of wood and designed to be raced up against other C02 dragsters. Making these cars to go fast is a matter of designing an aerodynamic, light-weight vehicle that won't break. The design can be whatever you want it to be, so long as the car is designed to minimize drag caused by the air in front of it and doesn’t weigh as much as the original block of wood.

Things You'll Need

• CO2 car wedge
• Pencil
• Jigsaw
• Chisel
• Hammer
• Drill
• Two axle rods
• Four CO2 dragster wheels
• CO2 canister
• Needle

Instructions

1. Draw the car’s design onto a CO2 car wooden block, this is a block designed specifically for CO2 dragsters. The block looks like a wedge with a pre-made hole for the CO2 canister. Use a pencil to make the drawing.

2. Cut out the design of the car using a jigsaw. If there are parts you are carving out of the car, use a chisel and hammer to carve the wood.

3. Drill the holes for the front and back axles and insert the axle rods into the holes.

4. Attach four CO2 dragster wheels onto all four ends of the two axle rods.

5. Place the CO2 canister into the pre-made canister hole in the wedge.

6. Place your CO2 emission car on the ground and puncture the CO2 canister with a needle to empower your car.
