How to Get Online With "Guitar Hero 3" the PC Version
"Guitar Hero III" is a fun game that lets you jam out on guitar to your favorite tunes. The game has jumped from system to system, finally making its way to the PC. Now players can rock out with a guitar connected to the PC, and even go online. It's a bit frustrating when you can't connect to your buddies online or download additional tracks. It's a simple process to go online, and it only takes a few minutes.

Download the latest version of "Guitar Hero III." An older version may prevent you from going online and connecting properly; go to the official "Guitar Hero" website and download the latest software update for your computer. Install the update.

Restart your computer. Changes and updates often wait for a reboot before taking effect. Reboot your computer when prompted after updating "Guitar Hero."

Create a "Guitar Hero" account. Return to the Guitarhero.com website and click "Sign up." Create a username and a password for your account.

Start up the "Guitar Hero" game. Select the "online" option from the main menu and wait for it to connect.

Enter the User ID and password for the "Guitar Hero" account you just created. The game will also ask you for your license code to verify the game. The license code is located on the back of the "Guitar Hero" manual that came with the game.

If you still have trouble connecting, contact "Guitar Hero" tech support. The support tab is located on the top left of the "Guitar Hero" website.
