How to Make a Paper Gun Launcher
The art of origami allows you to make any number of things from a simple sheet of paper. You can make a paper gun that will launch a pen by using a few simple household items and some paper. No mechanical skill is needed to make the paper gun launcher, nor are there any metal parts or springs to assemble in order to power it.
Things You'll Need
- Two 8-by-10-inch white paper sheets
- Disposable plastic pen
- Cellophane tape
- Scissors
- Ruler

Put the sheet of white paper on a table with the long end facing you. Place the disposable plastic pen horizontally alongside the bottom side of the sheet of white paper at the center.

Fold the bottom side around the disposable plastic pen. Continue folding until you reach the top side of the sheet of white paper.

Tape the top, middle and bottom of the tube that has been made with cellophane tape to hold it together.

Hold the tube with one end down so that the disposable plastic pen falls out of the end.

Measure 5 inches from one of the long sides of the other sheet of white paper.

Cut across the width of the other sheet of white paper at the 5-inch mark with the scissors. Discard one of the cut halves of white paper.

Place the cut sheet of white paper on the table with the short side facing you. Roll up the sheet of paper from bottom to top to form a tube. Tape the top, middle and bottom of the tube with cellophane tape to hold it together.

Tape the tube that was just made and is to be the handle of your paper gun launcher to one end of the first tube at a right angle.

Hold the paper gun launcher you have made by the handle. Go outside in your backyard.

Insert the disposable plastic pen into the hole farthest from the handle.

Aim the paper gun launcher at a tree or rock. Put your mouth against the hole closest to the handle. Exhale a burst of air into the hole to fire the disposable plastic pen at your target.

Tips & Warnings
Thin cardboard will last longer than paper if used for your paper gun launcher.
Don't aim any weapon that shoots a projectile, no matter what kind, at a person or pet.
