1
Choose between jobs at state-funded colleges and universities and all other state jobs. Colleges and universities in South Carolina typically host their job vacancies on the human resources page on their own websites. If you are interested in a job at one of those institutions, including University of South Carolina, Clemson University and the Medical University of South Carolina, visit each of those sites individually.

2
Visit the South Carolina State Government Careers E-Recruitment Job Portal website (see Resources). Although websites and classified ad pages include state jobs, this website has the most up-to-date and complete listing available. You can opt to browse all jobs or narrow your search by specifying job type, location and salary. You don't have to create an account to search, but you do have to create a free account if you see a job that you want to apply for. Online applications are required for most jobs. This website also includes links to college and university websites so you can browse their job openings.

Request notification of future job vacancies. If you can't find any current job openings that interest you, create a "Job Interest Card" (see Resources). Specify the type of job you are looking for on the card and provide you name, mailing address, phone number and email address. You will be notified when a job that meets your criteria opens.

Tips & Warnings
Note that some college jobs, particularly community college and technical college jobs, can be found on the state government's job listing website. For the most complete listings, however, visit college and university websites directly.
