How to Make Free Hair Bows
Hair bows look cute on any ponytail or in pigtails. However, they always seem to be quite expensive considering the little material used. Instead of purchasing your next hair bow, try to make your own. With just a little material that you have laying around the house, you can make a fun and adorable hair bow. The best part about making your own is that you can choose exactly what color you want to use--even matching hair bows with different outfits. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Lay your ribbon flat onto any surface. You can use left-over holiday ribbon or packaging ribbon for this project.
-
2
Slide the hair tie over the ribbon. Pull the ribbon ends up so the hair tie falls to the exact middle.
-
-
3
Tie the ribbon into a simple knot.
-
4
Place your hair (or someone else's) into a ponytail, using the hair tie with ribbon to secure it.
-
5
Adjust the hair tie so the knot is at the bottom of the ponytail.
-
6
Pull the ribbon ends up on the sides of the ponytail and tie it into a knot at the top of the ponytail. Tie the ribbon into a simple bow. The bow will stay in place all day and will never slide down the ponytail.
