How to Connect a PC to a DVR S-Video
A PC can be hooked up to a digital video recorder (DVR) with an S-video cable for transmitting video to the DVR. A separate set of stereo cables and a Y-adapter are also needed to send audio to the DVR. Once connected, digital multimedia content stored on the computer or the Internet can be sent to the DVR for recording. Photos and videos on the PC can be recorded on the DVR for screening on a connected television in a home theater, for example.
