Windows 2000 Advanced Server Service Pack 4 Troubleshooting

You can troubleshoot this issue by removing the Service Pack through the Recovery Console.

      Insert the installation CD into the computer. Restart the computer and press any key as the computer loads to boot from the CD.

      Press "R" to access the repair options and "C" to open the Recovery Console.

      Type "chdir $ntservicepackuninstall$\spuninst" and press "Enter."

      Type "spuninst.bat >" and press "Enter."

    • 5

      Type "exit" and press "Enter."

    • 6

      Click "Start," "Control Panel," "Add/Remove Programs" and "Windows 2000 SP4." Click "Change/Remove." This will resolve the issue you have been having with SP4.
