Instructions

    • 1

Open Microsoft Word and click the tiny blue question mark in the upper right corner. This takes you to the Help menu where templates can be downloaded. You must be connected to the internet for this step.

    • 2

Click "Templates" near the top and the Microsoft Office web page will open. Under "Templates Categories" you'll see a link for the Business card section.

    • 3

Click on "Business cards" and choose one of the featured templates. If these are not to your liking, adjust Community Content to "Unfiltered" and peruse the remaining templates.

    • 4

Click "Download" next to your desired template and then "Accept" the terms to download to your computer. You also may need to accept an Active X download first. When finished, the business cards will open automatically in Microsoft Word.

    • 5

Highlight the text on the cards and type in your company's name, address, phone, e-mail address, website, etc.

    • 6

Click on the logo and then "Change Selected Picture" to add your own custom picture to the design. Position it wherever you like and then click the Office button to save.

Tips & Warnings

  • To print the cards, it's best to purchase special business card paper that can be found wherever office supplies are sold.

  • This article outlines the procedure using Microsoft Word 2007. Consult the user's guide or help menu for guidance using other versions.
