Things You'll Need
- Vegetable oil
- Peanut butter
- Dry cloth
- Mild detergent
- Freezer
- Turpentine
- Paint thinner
- Limonene

Apply a small amount of vegetable oil or peanut butter to the glue and let it sit for a few minutes. Rub the area with a dry cloth to remove the substance. Repeat this process until all of the adhesive is gone, then clean the area with a mild detergent. This method works well for glue on people, pets and most surfaces.

Place the affected object into the freezer, if it fits. Once the glue is frozen, attempt to peel it off with your fingers. Wash your hands after you've removed the glue. This method is best suited for clothing or small items, such as stuffed animals.

Apply a product that contains mineral spirits, such as turpentine, paint thinner or limonene, to the area and allow it to sit for a few minutes. Use a dry cloth to rub the area clean and remove the glue. Repeat this process as needed. Once the glue is completely gone, clean the area with a mild detergent. Use this method to remove glue on floors and other non-porous surfaces.
