How to Remove a NetZero Toolbar

The Netzero Toolbar is a Web browser add-on that allows you to access your Netzero email and other account information without the need to open the Netzero client or website. It also comes with other features including a pop-up blocker and news ticker. As with all add-ons, the Netzero Toolbar can be disabled or hidden at your discretion. You can retrace these steps to put the Netzero Toolbar back in its default position. You can also completely remove the toolbar, if you no longer want it on your system.

Instructions

Disabling/Hiding for Firefox 3 and higher

1. Open the Firefox Web browser.

2. Click "Tools."

3. Click "Add-ons." Select the "Netzero Toolbar" and click "Disable."

4. Hide the toolbar from view by clicking "View," selecting "Toolbars" and unchecking the "Netzero Toolbar."

Disabling/Hiding for Internet Explorer 7 and higher

1. Open the Internet Explorer Web browser.

2. Click "Tools."

3. Click "Manage Add-ons." Select "Toolbars and Extensions." Right click the "Netzero Toolbar" icon and click "Disable."

4. Hide the toolbar from view by clicking "View," selecting "Toolbars" and unchecking the "Netzero Toolbar."

Uninstalling the Netzero Toolbar

1. Click the "Start" icon in the Windows taskbar. Click "Control Panel."

2. Click "Add/Remove Programs" if you're using Windows XP. Click "Programs and Features" if you're using Windows Vista or Windows 7.

3. Scroll down until you find the Netzero Toolbar application. Right click "Netzero Toolbar" and select "Uninstall." Click "Yes" when asked to confirm the uninstall. The Netzero Toolbar will be uninstalled and inaccessible by any browser on your computer.
