Price Pfister makes elegant kitchen faucets in many different styles. Installing a kitchen faucet is always a little painstaking. However, removing the old faucet from the kitchen sink is the hardest part of the installation. Once you have removed the old faucet, it is simply a matter of connecting all the Pfister faucet pieces. Does this Spark an idea?

  • Bowl or bucket
  • Basin wrench
  • Clean rags
  • Adjustable wrench

      Locate your water shut-off valves. Turn off the water to the home.

      Disconnect the drain line and P-trap from the old faucet. Have a large bowl or bucket handy for excess water to drain into.

      Remove the old faucet from the top of the kitchen sink. Use a basin wrench to unscrew the nuts for the old faucet. These are located on the underside of the sink. Remove the faucet.

      Clean the sink around the faucet holes with a damp rag. There will probably be old caulk and grime on the sink. Wipe away any grime or caulk from the area. Make sure the sink is dry before installing the new faucet.

      Place the deck plate over the 1¼ inch hole in the sink. Tighten the nuts with an adjustable wrench.

      Thread the faucet through the hole in the deck plate. Drop the faucet into place on top of the deck plate. Tighten the faucet down on the sink. The hardware for this should be included with the faucet.

      Connect the faucet to the water lines under the sink.
