Household ammonia is a strong, powerful cleaning agent that can be used on nearly any area of the home, however, for big jobs you sometimes want a stronger cleaner. By adding a few ingredients to your ammonia-based cleaning solution, you boost disinfecting and deodorizing elements.

Things You'll Need

• Ammonia
• Gallon container
• Vinegar
• Baking soda
• Water
• Spray bottle or bucket

Instructions

1. Pour 1/2 cup ammonia into a clean gallon container. Combine with 1/2 cup vinegar and 1/4 cup baking soda. The baking soda cleans and deodorizes, and the vinegar kills bacteria.

2. Fill container the rest of the way with water. Twist cap onto the container and shake gently to combine ingredients.

3. Pour this solution into spray bottles and use to clean windows, countertops and bathtubs, or pour into a bucket and use to clean the floors in your home.

Tips & Warnings

• Never mix bleach with any ammonia-based cleaning product, as toxic fumes will result.
