How Can I Complete My Sports Management Degree?
Completing a degree in sports management can be difficult for those who have already began a career, but want to finish their education. Sports management degrees, whether at the graduate or undergraduate level, can be used to enter many careers including being a sports agent. A degree in sports management can be completed in a few different ways.

The Process
-
1
Obtain your transcripts from all prior schools you attended. This will help your new school calculate the credits that you can transfer in.
-
2
Determine which schools you want to attend, based on where you live and the type of sports management degree you're completing (e.g. graduate, undergraduate, doctoral). Alternatively, you can complete your sports management degree online at a school such as Ashford University, the University of Phoenix or Drexel University.
For a list of sport management programs recommended by the North American Society for Sport Management, see the "Resources" section below.
-
-
3
Fill out the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) so your new school can determine whether you will be eligible for financial aid. This can, and should, be done before you enroll. Ensure you enter the school codes for the prospective schools you want to attend, even if you haven't yet applied or been accepted.
-
4
Apply for scholarships just for sports management majors to help pay for tuition, books and course fees. Scholarships include The Institute of Sports Management's scholarship program, the Women's Sports Foundation's Dorothy Harris Endowed Scholarship and the Black Coaches and Administrators' Ethnic Minority Post Graduate Scholarship for Careers in Athletics.
-
5
Apply to the schools of your choice before their application deadlines and pay the schools' application fees, if required.
-
6
Enroll in the courses you need to finish your sport management degree. Maintain as high a grade point average as possible, especially if you intent to go on to graduate or law school.
