How to Watch a DVR on a PC

There are some television users who may not realize that the signal being displayed by their PC monitor is superior to the signal being displayed by their televisions. You may benefit from connecting your digital video recorder (DVR) to your PC monitor instead of your television. This is an easy process as long as you know how to convert the signal sent from the DVR into a VGA signal, used by most PC monitors.

Things You'll Need

  • Component (female) to VGA (male) cable adapter
  • RCA audio (red and white) cables
  • Audio source with RCA ports
