How to Use a Pool Vacuum Hose
Cleaning a pool requires vacuuming the floor and sides of the pool to keep the water clean and free from debris, which can cause the chemical levels to change or clog the filter. Before you start to vacuum the pool, you need to assemble the hose and vacuum head correctly. If the hose is not prepared correctly, it won't have enough suction to pick up all of the debris. Does this Spark an idea?

Place the end of the hose with the skimmer plate up to one of the water return jets in the pool. Allow the hose to fill with water completely. After the hose is filled with water, place your hand over the end and place the skimmer plate and the hose in the skimmer. The vacuum is ready to use. If the hose is filled with water, it will have proper suction. If it is not completely filed with water, air in the hose will impede suction.

Slowly guide the vacuum over the pool floor to vacuum up debris.
