How to Report Fraud in HUD Housing in Washington State
If you suspect that someone is being fraudulent with HUD in Washington state, HUD has four options to report the fraudulent actions to them. HUD fraud can take many forms. For example, you might be a homeowner facing foreclosure and feel you are being taken advantage of. Another example might be when you think an appraiser is conspiring with a home seller. HUD fraud exists and the government takes it seriously. All Washington state HUD fraud reports are made to the Office of the Inspector General in Washington, D.C.

Prepare a list of the accusations and claims and list everyone involved in the fraud report you wish to make. This preparation isn't anything official or something that needs to be done in a certain format, but it will help you keep your information together and make it easier to file a report.

Decide if you wish to remain anonymous and keep your report confidential. If you are a federal employee this will already be part of the process, but if you are not a federal employee you have the right to remain anonymous.
