How to Change the Chosen Class Path in EverQuest Online Adventures
Everquest is a game where the player controls an avatar that has certain features, such as a class path. With your avatar, you can fight monsters, explore the world and complete quests. To change your class path in Everquest 2, you have a few options. You can complete a quest in the game to change to a similar class, or if you want to change to a class path that is very different from the one you've chosen, you will need to start over again and create a new character. This can be very time consuming, but is unfortunately the only way to change your class path.
Things You'll Need
- Computer
- Internet Connection
- Copy of Everquest 2 (installed on the computer)

1
Enter the game as the character whose class path you wish to change. Once you have entered the game hit "P", which will bring up the Persona menu. Look at the top of the page and click the tab that says "Factions". This page will have a list of cities on it, and each city in the list will be accompanied by a colored bar. If the bar for the City of Neriak, Freeport, or Gorowyn is friendly (blue), then your character is evil. If the bar for the City of Kelethin or Qeynos is friendly, then your character is good.

2
Check what class you currently are; this will help you figure out what class you can become. Do this by again opening up the Persona window by pressing "P". Under the tab that says "Stats" on the left side it should have a bar and along that bar is your level and class. Each class path in Everquest 2 has a good and evil side. If you betray your current alignment, you will switch to the other class. For example, if you are evil and an assassin, if you betray your city, you will become good and your class path will change to that of a ranger.

Try a betrayal quest to change your class path by returning to the "Persona" window (by hitting "P") and look again at your "Faction" tab. The city that is in blue is your home city, and that is the city you will have to betray. To return to that city, hit the "K" button to bring up a list of your abilities. Use the ability called "Call of (City Name)" where city name is the name of the city you found in your "Factions" tab.

4
Start the betrayal quest for your city by speaking to specific characters in the world. To find these characters, look for a city guard near you. Click on the city guard and a small text box will appear. Type in the name of the person you are looking for and the guard will direct you to them. If you belong to Kelethin, look for Saelir Varryn and follow his orders. If you belong to Qeynos, speak to Sprockfuddle who is found in Qeynos Harbor. To find Sprockfuddle you will need to jump in the canal and swim under the state of Antonia Bayle. If you belong to Neriak, speak to Matteus Gaines near the entrance to the city. If you belong to Freeport, speak to Izzay in the inn at the northern part of West Freeport. If you belong to Gorowyn, speak to Ambassador Godwin near the docks to become a citizen of Freeport, and then speak to Izzay in West Freeport to betray.

Begin doing quests to gain faction with Kelethin, if you just left Neriak, Gorowyn or Freeport,. To do this, seek out Gibrien Marsden in the Greater Faydark near the Butcherblock entrance and do his repeatable quests until you can become a citizen of Kelethin. If you just left Kelethin or Qeynos, seek out Gol M'Tun in Antonica, near the North Qeynos gates. Do his quests until you have enough faction to become a Freeport citizen.

Tips & Warnings
If you are unsure about changing your class path, try creating a new character and playing a different class for a few levels to gauge how much you like it.
Betrayal can only change your class to a similar class. For example, if you are a fighter and want to be a healer, you cannot make that change by betraying. You will need to start a new character.
Betrayal is a long and time consuming quest, so only take it on if you are certain you want a change. You can betray back to your original class path, but it is a lengthy process.
