How to Remove Sticker Glue From Glass

How to Remove Sticker Glue From Glass thumbnail
Stickers can leave behind residue on a car window.

It used to be common to find stickers slapped onto the rear bumpers of cars, but once bumpers started coming off the factory floor with a painted finish, people started placing stickers on the glass instead. Stickers typically leave a glue residue on the glass surface, which you can remove.

Instructions

    • 1

Place the razor blade on the surface of the glass and set it at a sharp angle, between 15 and 45 degrees off the glass surface. Push the blade toward the sticker. Scrape the glass with the blade until the sticker is off of the glass completely.

    • 2

Spray the glass down with the glass cleaner. Scrape the windshield with the blade again, going over the same surface where the sticker was in Step 1. Glue should start to ball up on the blade, so clean it off carefully if it builds up too much.

    • 3

Wipe the glass cleaner off of the glass using the microfiber towel. Look down the side of the window, looking in reflections to see if you can spot any more glue. If so, repeat Step 2. Otherwise, spray the window with glass cleaner again, then wipe down the window with the microfiber towel one last time.
