How to Create a New Category for Palm Applications

By default, your Palm has both a Main and a System category. You may want to create additional categories for games, applications and other useful tools you add to your Palm.

Creating Categories for Palm Applications

1. Tap the Applications icon (Palm III) or House icon (above Palm III) to display the main Palm screen.
2. Choose Edit Categories from the Categories drop-down menu. On your screen, the top of this menu should have a down arrow next to the word All (or whatever other category you may be looking at).
3. Tap New.
4. Enter your new category name, then tap OK.
5. Tap OK to close the Edit Categories box.

6. Tap the Applications icon (Palm III) or House icon (above Palm III) to display the main Palm screen.
7. Tap the Menu icon, then choose Category from the App drop-down menu to display the Category box.
8. Open the Category drop-down menu next to an application you'd like to file, and select a category.

Tips & Warnings

• You can rename existing categories by using the Rename feature in the Edit Categories box.
• You can also delete an existing category.
• If you delete an existing category that contains applications, the applications filed under that category will move to the Unfiled category.
• You can also choose to edit categories within the Category box.
