Instructions

    • 1

Power on the Kodak printer and lift the top cover. Wait for the print cartridges to move to the center. Never attempt to move the print cartridges by hand, as doing so could damage the printer and void Kodak's warranty.

    • 2

Locate the black printer cartridge and tilt it slightly forward. Lift the cartridge free of the printer and sit it on a flat surface with the metal connectors facing up.

    • 3

Dip a cotton swab in warm water and clean the bottom of the cartridge thoroughly. Continue to clean the cartridge until no more ink residue comes off. Excessive ink residue on the cartridge will cause black spots on the printouts.

    • 4

Use a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol to remove any additional ink residue. If there is a heavy buildup of ink residue on the black print cartridge, the alcohol can remove stubborn stains that the warm water cannot.
