The Toshiba M200 model laptop comes with the option of a built-in webcam. If your M200 has this device, you can set up video chat with your friends and family or record video straight from your computer monitor. But like any electronic device, the webcam on your M200 can become damaged or break altogether.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn off your M200 and remove the power cable. Then slide the battery out of its compartment on the underside of the computer.

    • 2

Open the laptop screen and use the tip of your flat-head screwdriver to pop the six rubber screw covers---two on top of the screen, four on the bottom---off of the screws above and below the screen. Then use your Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws.

    • 3

Insert the end of your flat-head screwdriver in the seam between the front plastic bezel, which is the frame surrounding the screen, and the back of the screen. Work your way around the side of the bezel until the frame pops off.

    • 4

Locate the webcam just above the LCD screen. Use your Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws securing it to the top of the screen. Be careful as it is still connected to the computer via a wire.

Use your Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws on the side of the webcam. Then remove the back plastic panel from the webcam. Your M200 webcam is now open.
