How to Install a Graphics Card on a Dell Laptop
The quality of your laptop's video card directly affects the quality of your monitor's video signal. In most Dell laptops, the video card is found on the motherboard and is often covered by a heat sink assembly, which is a large metal plate with a copper pipe extending out of it. Gaining access to your Dell laptop's video card requires complete disassembly of your laptop. Disassembly may void your warranty. Consult your warranty literature or contact Dell directly to determine the limits of your warranty agreement.
