How to Pull Up the Backup System Restore
A backup system restore refers to a system image that you created. When you want to revert your system to a previous state, you'll want to be able to pull up the backup system restore image. Using the Windows Backup and Restore center, you can easily access a backup system restore image and restore your computer to a previous working state.

Launch the Windows Backup and Restore center. Click "Start," Control Panel," "System and Maintenance" and "Backup and Restore."

Connect the storage device that contains your backup system restore image. This is typically an external hard drive or DVD.

Click "Recover system settings or your computer" near the bottom of the screen. Enter your administrator password when prompted.

Choose the system restore image you want to restore. The images are labeled by date, so choose the date you want to restore your computer from.

Click "Original Location" to restore your entire system back onto your hard drive.

Click the "Restore" button and the entire system is restored to a previous point in time.
