How to Remove Dog Urine Odor with Vinegar
Dog urine often leaves a pungent, unpleasant odor which can make inviting guests over a stressful and potentially embarrassing ordeal. Simple detergent can't fully remove the odor of dog urine. But vinegar, a natural solvent and deodorizer, can eradicate the smell of dog urine for good. Paired properly with the right cleaning supplies, vinegar can restore your carpet and prevent your dog from seeking to soil the same spot again.

- Washcloths
- Measuring cup
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- Spoon
- Baking soda
- Vacuum

Soak up the urine. The less urine remaining on the surface, the less deodorizing you will have to do. Place a washcloth on top of the urine and allow the cloth to soak up as much liquid as possible.

Fill a measuring cup with half a cup of vinegar, then add another 1 1/2 cups of warm water.

Stir the concoction with a spoon, and saturate the urine stain with this mixture. Don't worry if you have more of your solution than seems necessary--use the entire contents of the measuring cup on the stain.

Let the mixture sit for five minutes on the urine stain.

Soak up the vinegar and water mixture with a washcloth. You may need more than one washcloth to absorb up as much wetness as possible.

Pour baking soda onto the area and allow to dry. Baking soda is a powerful deodorizer when paired with vinegar. Deodorization of the area is important so the dog will not smell his scent and urinate in the same area again.

Vacuum the baking soda to complete the removal of the dog urine odor and stain.

not only does this get rid of dog and cat urine smell it will get rid of ANY smell. In the kitchen use on tupperware left in the frig too long, to clean trash cans with inside and out but you must mix the vinegar and baking soda together in warm water but add vingear slowly to avoid eruption. Works fantastic and so much cheaper than anything else.
