PDF files can be opened in programs such as Adobe Reader. Those files cannot be edited in Adobe Reader, though. While there are many PDF editing programs on the market, you may not wish to spend money on these programs, especially if you don't plan on editing PDF programs on a daily basis. Converting Adobe Reader files to Doc files will let you edit those files in Microsoft Word or an open source word processing program.

Instructions

  1. Nitro PDF

      Download Nitro PDF.

      Open the Nitro PDF program.

      Click the "N" button that is positioned at the top of the program. A menu will appear. Select the "Open" option in that menu and a window will open.

      Find the Adobe file you want to convert inside the open window. Click that file and then click "Open." The Adobe file will appear inside Nitro PDF.

      Click the "To Word" icon that's found inside the "Convert" box at the top of the program. A window will appear.

      Click "Convert" at the bottom of the open window. The file will be converted to a Word document and then open in the word processing program that's on your computer.

      Click "File" at the top of the word processing program. Select "Save As" to save the file as a Word document on your computer.

    PDF Online

      Open a Web browser and go to the PDF Online homepage.

      Click "Browse" in the middle of the Web page, and a window will open.

      Click the Adobe file you're converting inside the open window. Then, click "Open."

      Click the "Upload and Convert" tab that's on the page. The Adobe file will be converted to a Word Doc.

      Click on the download link on the page to save the new Word Doc onto your computer.

    PDF to Word

      Open a Web browser and navigate to the PDF to Word homepage.

      Click on the "Browse" button on the page. A window will open. Then, click the Adobe file you're converting inside the open window. Once you've chosen an Adobe file, click "Open."

      Click the "DOC" option found to the right of the "Browse" button.

      Type your email address inside the "Email file to" box. Then, click "Convert." The Adobe file will be converted to a Word Doc. The PDF to Word website will send you an email once the file is converted.

      Sign into your email account. Open the PDF to Word email. Then, click the Doc file attachment on the email to download the converted file onto your computer.
