NetZero is an Internet service provider typically known for its dial-up service, but the company also provides the faster DSL option. If you are in the market for a new Internet provider, there are numerous ISPs you can compare. Check all of the options the providers offer, ranging from price to speed of the Internet connection. This way, you'll have all the information you need when making your decision about whether NetZero DSL is the way to go.

1. Look at the price for the different service providers. The slowest DSL Internet connection starts at $9.99 a month (as of May 2010).

3. Compare the connection speeds. If you are looking for a fast Internet connection speed, NetZero DSL is not the way to go. The highest NetZero connection speed is 3Mbps, and other providers offer speeds more than 10 times that.

4. Determine whether you have to sign up for a long-term contract. NetZero allows you to cancel whenever you want, while other companies force you to sign a one- or two-year contract. Having a monthly contract is helpful when living in a rental apartment or if you are constantly on the move.
