How to Remove Pedestal From Westinghouse Monitor

Unless you own a laptop, you'll need a monitor to effectively use your computer. Monitors come in various sizes and display qualities. Artists and serious users often opt for monitors that allow higher display resolutions. If you own a Westinghouse monitor, you can remove the pedestal from the base of the monitor for easier transport or to make it sit lower on your desk.

• Towel (or blanket)

Instructions

1. Unplug the monitor from the computer and the power outlet to ensure that no electrical damage occurs to the screen when you remove the pedestal.

2. Lay a towel or blanket on your computer desk or table, and place the monitor on top of the padded area to prevent the screen from getting scratched.

3. Find the two tabs on the base of the pedestal, located on the underside.

4. Press these two buttons at the same time with your hands. You should hear a click, and the base should slide off the monitor easily.

Tips & Warnings

• You can place your monitor on stacked-up books to increase its height.

• Be sure to avoid static electricity as you can short circuit the monitor.
