How to Disable Client Service for Netware

How to Disable Client Service for Netware thumbnail
Netware Client service is a Novell networking product.

The Netware Client Service provides Windows machines with the ability to communicate with Novell Netware servers. The software is used in older networking architectures where Novell servers are installed, which are mainly used in large, enterprise environments. When the Novell servers are no longer used, the administrator should disable the Novell client software. This is accomplished by removing the application in the Control Panel's network settings.

Instructions

    • 1

Click the Windows "Start" button and select "Control Panel." Double-click "Network Connections." In the list of network cards, right-click the icon labeled "Local Area Connection" and select "Properties."

    • 2

Click the "Novell Client for Windows" in the list box. Click the "Uninstall" button.

    • 3

Click "Yes" at the confirmation screen. It takes only a few seconds to remove the software. Click "Restart" if you are prompted to reboot the machine.
