How to Create Your Own MSN Wink
Windows Live Messenger is an instant messenger client that is free to public. One popular feature of MSN Live Messenger is the freedom to build and create your own emoticons or "winks." This will allow you to send personalized emoticons to your friend or family through the instant messenger's portal. Many users think that creating their own emoticons and winks is a hefty process that takes a lot of time. The truth is that the process only takes a couple of minutes and can be done with a few simple steps.

Double click on your Windows Live Messenger icon. Wait for the program to load and then enter your screen name and password into the "Username" and "Password" fields.

Wait for the program to sign you onto the MSN network.

Click on the button located to the right of the "Search" bar. Click on "Show Menu" and then click on "Tools."

Click on the "Emoticons" tab in the "Tools" menu.

Click on the "Create" tab and then click on "Find Image." Choose the "Find Image" tab and then select the picture or image that you would like to use for your custom "wink." MSN will resize your image automatically for compatibility with its windows.

Type the "Keyboard Shortcut" you would like to use for your "wink." This shortcut can be seven characters long or shorter.

Name your wink and press the "OK" button with your mouse. The wink will be added to your emoticon gallery in MSN.
