How to Hook Up DirecTV DVR
DirecTV is a satellite television subscription service that uses an audio-video receiver to unscramble satellite TV signals. Some DirecTV receiver models are equipped with a built-in digital video recorder (DVR) for copying shows to watch at a more convenient time. The receiver and DVR hook up to the satellite coaxial cable to receive the signal and connect to a television with a standard set of composite AV cables.
