Make corn husk dolls. Wet 10 corn husks to make them soft and easier to work with. Layer three husks on top of each other and fold them in half. Tie a piece of thin twine around the husks around 1 inch from the fold. This will be the head of the doll. Layer three more husks on top of each other and stick them in between the loose ends of the folded husks. Tuck the three husks so that they are close to the head. Tie a piece of twine around the middle of the folded husks. This will create the chest and arms of the doll. Separate the loose husks hanging down from the chest into two groups. Tie a piece of twine around the bottom of each group. This will create two legs.

Make a mini woven basket. Soak around 8 oz. of straw in warm water for 20 minutes. Place two 4-inch pieces of straw on a flat surface perpendicularly. Place two more 4-inch pieces of straw crossing diagonally onto the perpendicular pieces. Insert a 12-inch piece of straw into the center of the layers, and begin weaving it in and out around the circle of straws. The result will be a small woven basket.
