How to Email a Salary History for a Job
When applying for a job, most employers require a resume, cover letter, and job references. In this age of technology, these documents are often requested to be sent via email to the human resources department or hiring manager. Some employers also require a salary history be sent electronically.

Start your computer and open the program or website you use for email. If you do not have an email account, register for a free Yahoo email account by visiting http://www.yahoo.com and select "Yahoo! Mail." Click on the link that says "sign up."

Compose a new email message. Insert the recipient's email address and a subject for your message. In the body of the email, indicate that you have attached the salary history for review. Make sure to add a signature with your name, email address, and phone number.

Attach the salary history to the email. There will be a link that says "attach" or "attach document." Some email programs may have a paper clip symbol to upload attachments. You will then need to locate the document on your computer.

Review your email. Ensure that the recipient's address is correct and there are no misspelled words. You can use the spell check on your email program for this. However, spell check does not catch grammatical errors, so always proofread your messages.
