How to Wash a Microfiber Towel

If you are looking for a lint-free, durable towel try using microfiber. Microfiber towels consist of fine, soft fibers that effectively clean a variety of surfaces. They are absorbent, less likely to leave streaks on glass and will not scratch even the most delicate surfaces. Of course, you must clean microfiber towels after using them. Care must be taken when washing microfiber towels so they do not become distorted or damaged.

• Bleach-free liquid laundry detergent

Instructions

1. Fill your washer with warm water. Set the washing machine to the gentle cycle.

2. Add bleach-free liquid detergent according to the detergent manufacturer’s instructions. Use the smallest amount of detergent recommended by the manufacturer. Do not use fabric softener.

3. Place your dirty microfiber towels into the washing machine. You can wash the towels with other laundry items that can be washed in warm water and on the gentle cycle. Do not wash microfiber towels with terry cloth towels or any other types of towels.

4. Run the towels through a complete wash cycle in the washing machine. Remove the towels from the washer and lay them flat or hang them to air dry. Heat from the dryer can damage microfiber towels.

Tips & Warnings

• Do not use powdered laundry detergent when washing microfiber towels. Do not use bleach, liquid fabric softener or fabric softener sheets.
