Occasionally for tax purposes you may need to know your previous payment history for a particular bill, utility or financial company. If the information is not already present on the company's website you need to request the payment history from a customer-service representative. You may or may not be charged a service fee for the request.
Contact the service number listed on the last bill you received form the company.
Navigate through the automated response services on the line until you reach a customer-service representative.
Give your full name, address, account number (listed on the bill) and possibly the last four digits of your social security number.
Request a payment history and tell how far back you need it to go. The service representative will tell you whether you will be billed for the service. The information will either be mailed to your home address or sent to the email account the company has on file.
